My approach to usability includes, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Heuristic analysis
  • Client interviews
  • Business interviews
  • Workgroups and focus groups
  • Partnering with Business and Information Technology teams to understand implementation parameters, restrictions, and potential.
    Many projects do not have the luxury of af long development cycle. This is especially true in the application user interface design and particularly true in the financial environment. Therefore, I take a very incremental approach to a project. By first getting a background in the way a client works and why, I can present options for how a project may proceed, with different goals and levels of success for each potential path.
    My goal is to always find the best and most aesthetically usable, and useful solution that leaves the door open for options to enhance and expand a project.
